K.B. Sarkar & Co. was established in 1935 in Delhi, India, by M. Osman Kalia as a Dealer of Paints.

Following Partition, in 1947 the business relocated to Karachi and continued operations from its premises opposite Denso Hall, serving artists, architects, students, and designers across Pakistan.

His eldest son, Muhammad Naseem Kalia, carried the legacy forward. Under his leadership, K.B. Sarkar became the sole agent for numerous renowned European artist material brands in both East and West Pakistan. Soon after, the company began manufacturing its own range of products and grew into one of Pakistan’s leading brands in the field.

His siblings joined the company after completing their higher education and helped elevate the brand further. With an expanded team, K.B. Sarkar opened branches across Pakistan and diversified into survey instruments, audiovisual aids, and teaching aids.

For 90 years, K.B. Sarkar & Co. has provided quality pencils, paints, brushes, drawing sets, and drafting tools to those who create and build. The name has passed through generations, but the standard remains unchanged.
